You want a combination of good air flow, good drainage and nutrient holding capabilities. Best to contact a good soil science person like John Ferguson, Nature’s Way Resources, 936-321-6990 to get your soil mix just right.
Fertilization – Granular:
Pre Mix: Per cubic yard
30 lb. MicroLife Ultimate 8-4-6 and 5 lb. Eco-Min
Top Dress: 3 to 4 times with either Ultimate 8-4-6 or Ultimate 8-0-6. 1 gal.-1 oz., 5 gal.-2 oz., 15 gal.-6-8 oz.
Fertilization – Liquid:
Transplant: Ocean Harvest 4-2-3 at the recommended rate as a drench.
Throughout The Year: March to November foliar spray Ocean Harvest or Super Seaweed at recommended rates. Add 1/2 oz. garlic oil, 1/2 oz. Soybean Oil per gallon of water to the mix and spray to the point of drip.
